A lovely pair of antique pale and dark green jade six petaled flowers that have been repurposed into earrings. The jade is accented by deep red garnets set in silver mounts used in the center.
The jades are antique and of a good color with a pale green color that is interspersed with darker green spotting. They are hard and translucent, and have incised lines to resemble petals. The garnet mounts look hand wrought. Earring clips were glued onto the back.
MEASUREMENTS
Body excluding clip – 1 3/8” (3.4 cm) diameter x ¼” (.6 cm) thick Weighs .62 oz (17.9 g)
CONDITION
There are no breaks, cracks, or chips on the jade. The silver finish on the clip has worn off in places and now shows brass. The glue used to attach the clips was a bit overapplied and is visible surrounding the clips.
A nice pair of jades to add to a collection or wear as earrings.
